Abraham’s Gifts

Gifts surround us. Some see them. Others do not. Abraham saw One God and opened up many eyes.

In the Beginning

…when the earth was astonishingly empty, with darkness upon the surface of the deep, and the Divine Presence hovered upon the surface of the waters….

God Said, Let There Be

and there was light….and God separated the light from the darkness.

It Was Good

And God saw all that He made, and behold it was very good.

Adam & Eve

Deceived by the serpent, Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit, perceive their nakedness and sew clothes for themselves.

Abraham Destroys the Idols

Tradition teaches that Abraham’s father, Terah, was a maker of clay idols. Before departing on his journey with Sara and Lot, Abraham smashes the idols in his father’s shop.

Abraham's Sacrifice

“So Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering in place of his son.” In the Torah, Abraham offers his son Isaac. In the Quran, Abraham offers his son Ishmael.

God's Blessing

God says to Abraham “Walk in my ways and be blameless. I will establish my covenant between Me and you, and I will make you exceedingly numerous”.

Moses, a Man of God

“Never again did their arise in Israel a profit like Moses-whom the Lord singled out, face to face…” Highlights from the life of Moses include the Egyptian slavery, the Burning Bush, the Exodus, Crossing of the Red Sea, Wandering in the Desert, Revelation at Sinai, the Torah and the Land of Israel.

The Son of God, as proclaimed by the Angel Gabriel, is born to Mary in Bethlehem.
